How does it work?

WishFly™ makes raising money for your dream holidays incredibly easy! In less than five minutes, you'll be able to personalize your fundraising for a trip through the power of social media. See this simple video.

 

 

With WishFly™, the money you raise will be applied by WishFly™ directly to the airlines, hotels, car rental and/or any other bookings all in accordance with your travel itinerary. You do not need to spend hours booking something or overpay. You raise the money through your friends and contacts and we do the rest! We are here to help. Create your trip now

Is it secure?

Absolutely! We employ top level security for all the trip creators and contributors! Your WishFly™ page provides the very best in secure payment encryption technology. Not only are your contributors’ online payments safe, your entire personal information is safe.

Who are you and why should I trust you?

The WishFly™ team is comprised of dedicated business, technology and marketing professionals who travel extensively for business and personal adventures, and believe that they can help create a true “world wide web” by providing every person the opportunity and tools to obtain turn-key travel solutions through the help of family, friends or other sponsors. The foundation of our team is its integrity to provide a great service to people in need.

How do I get my bookings done?

Once your trip is funded, we will email you to confirm your final itinerary. Once we receive the confirmation, we will book and apply the funds raised to pay for your tickets, hotels, and car rentals through our travel partner -- Cheapoair.

Can I get cash if I decide not to go on the trip?

Unfortunately no. Your Contributors are funding the trip for you to take the trip that is important to you. In case you decide to cancel the trip, the money goes back to the Contributors.

How much cash can I request from my total funds target?

You are allowed to request 10% of the total raised money to be provided to you in cash (with prior approval). The balance goes toward booking your flights, hotels, and car rentals and/or any other travel sources in accordance with your itinerary.

Does it cost anything?

While it’s free to create a trip, we do charge 5% on each contribution made which will be deducted from total funds raised upon completion of the campaign. Accordingly, this 5% charge will be added to the total amount of funds you will need to raise from contributors for your total travel costs. This fee is to cover the credit card processing charges, and general administrative services to be able to provide this service to you.

Do my Contributors get charged?

No, never. Other sites might charge your Contributors without you knowing it, but we would never do that. Contributors are charged only the amount they choose to contribute to you and that's it.

Are there any time limits?

Yes. The time limits are totally upon you. You can choose anywhere from 15 days to 180 days. This is required because of the ever-changing price quotes in the travel industry. Sign up today!

What if I don't reach my goal?

If for any reason you do not reach your goal, you may choose to extend the campaign. If you decide not to extend the trip campaign, your Contributors will be refunded and trip canceled. We operate an All-or-Nothing model.

How will I know if someone contributes?

You'll receive an email notification each time someone has contributed money or experience to your trip. You can also see this on your Trip Page.

Do I have to use my real name?

Yes. WishFly™ operates on authenticity and transparency. Real names are needed for your Contributors to feel safe and also for WishFly™ to make your travel bookings. It is important for your Contributors to know they’re backing a real person with a real story.

Who will contribute to my Trip?

Your trip will be supported by the people in your life. This includes friends, family members, loved ones, coworkers, classmates and teammates. Only after your campaign receives the support of the people you personally know can it begin to attract the support of others. We provide you with all the tools to seamlessly integrate social media and email to your campaigns so inviting them is as easy as writing an email!

Do I have to use my Facebook account?

Although optional, connecting your account to Facebook is highly recommended and makes sharing your campaign with others incredibly easy. Don't worry, we'll never post anything to your Facebook account unless you say so.

How do I increase my chances of getting funded for my trip?

If you're raising money for something that you strongly believe in, chances are that the people in your life will be eager to support you. WishFly™ gives you the easy-to-use features to share your story with your family, friends, loved ones and community. Every trip creator should connect their Facebook account, use a high-quality campaign photo or video and clearly explain why they're raising money. Sharing your campaign on Facebook is the single most important thing you can do.

How can I share my campaign?

Every WishFly™ Trip is given a unique link that's easy to share with others. Sharing your fundraising campaign is easy using our built-in features like email invitations and Facebook posting. We give you all the tools to make your trip campaign successful.

Receiving Contributions

Can donors in other countries donate to my campaign?

Yes, your WishFly™ campaign is able to accept payments from donors around the world.

Will my contributors get charged any fees?

No, never. Other sites might charge your donors without you knowing it, but we would never do that. Contributors are charged only the amount they choose to donate to you and that's it.

Can Contributors give privately?

Of course. Contributors can simply check a box to keep their donation hidden from public view.

What is Contribute Money?

Contribute money is when your Contributor is pledging money to your trip (campaign).

What is Contribute Experience?

Contribute experience is when the contributor has provided his/her own experience that is relevant to your trip. It could be suggestions on places to eat, or place to stay away from! These are your wellwishers too!

Booking and Travel

When can I book my tickets?

Tickets are typically booked as soon as practicable once you've reached your campaign goal. We do that to make your life easier. You focus on inviting as many friends and family to the campaign, and we do the rest!

How do I know how much money I need before I book the tickets, hotels, cars?

We work with Cheapoair to provide you real time pricing for your trip on selected dates, location and more. Simply pop in FROM and TO and you will see possible options and choose the one that works for you best!

Is travel insurance included?

No. You will need to buy your own medical and travel insurance when traveling. We do not book that for you.

What if I cancel my trip?

If you cancel your trip, we will refund your contributors. Trip cancellations must be in accordance to the airline, hotels, and third party providers’ terms.
